Rev. Darrel Richey

Rev. Darrel Lee Richey was born January 15, 1960 in Abilene, Texas. He attended various Texas colleges and universities, including Tarleton State University, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. In May, 2004, he received a Masters of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry, Berkeley, California. He interned with Rev. Dave Sammons at Mount Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church in Walnut Creek, California, from September 2003 through June 2004. Rev. Richey was ordained by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas in September of 2004, and began as 3/4 time contract minister for James Reeb Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Madison, Wisconsin in September 2004. In less than a year, he was called as full-time minister. Rev. Richey and the James Reeb congregation celebrated his installation as full-time called minister in September, 2005. In 2008, Rev. Richey earned Final Fellowship from the Unitarian Universalist Association. He continues his service to the James Reeb community and can be contacted at: or 608-242-8887 ext. 3.
